ARU is located on the 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th floors in the tower of the landmark Wrigley Building. The facility features great views of Lake Michigan from five studios in an attractive and comfortable working environment. Our studios were designed with the client in mind to meet their specialized needs.
For the technically minded, each studio has full access and control of our analog and digital video network. This network allows hard disk and tape based picture playback to all studios. Also at ARU we are proud to offer our massive sound effects library on hard disk. This system allows each studio access to our library of over 100,000 sound effects via our NT network. Stored on massive hard drives this system provides instant recall and digital playback.
All of our studios are equipped with PC based CD burners that allow quick and accurate CD Copies that comply with the Orange Book standard. At ARU, we work together with clients to bring their vision to production.
Audio Recording Unlimited was founded in 1988 by Mike King, longtime post-production engineer, to better serve Chicago's advertising community with a state-of-the-art audio post production facility.
Many of the major recording studios focus on music recording. Their audio post production work is viewed as a vital, but secondary area. Not so with Audio Recording Unlimited.
